Bespoke Boat & Yacht Cockpit Cushions

A cockpit cushion is a shaped component, not simply a rectangle. Photograph how each seat meets a backrest, turns a corner and clears lockers or access lids. Note gaps you want to retain and places where the current cushions do not sit correctly.

Number each piece before removal and photograph the complete arrangement. Labels and orientation matter when adjacent cushions look similar. Agree the pattern route before measuring around curves or sending covers that have stretched.

Choose between renewing covers over suitable retained foam and replacing the support as part of the commission. Explain whether a cushion feels flat, too firm, too soft or uneven. A new fabric cannot by itself restore a collapsed profile.

Main panels, border depth, piping, seams, fastenings and underside construction belong in the same specification. Discuss exposure and storage with Josh, then review the exact collection using physical samples. Fabric properties alone do not establish how a finished cushion will manage water.

Create a simple inventory with a label, position and photograph for every removable cushion. If template material is supplied, confirm the orientation marks and tracing instructions before returning it. Existing fixings and their positions should be included.
