BOAT UPHOLSTERY COSTS / A CLEAR SCOPE FIRST
There is no useful one-price-fits-all figure for a shaped cockpit set, fixed saloon seating and a pair of loose cushions. Start with the outcome you want; Josh can then assess the work and set out the scope.
When the existing support and fit still work, consider new covers with the exact fabric, seams, piping and zip access specified.
Show the existing cover and its fit, the underside, each fastening and the filling beneath. Keep all original pieces until Josh confirms what is needed.
Uneven support or a tired profile deserves a closer look. Discuss the filling and cover together, around how the seat is actually used.
Photograph the cushion from the side and describe where support feels uneven. Include the existing depth, base and any shaped bolsters.
For a coordinated refit, begin with the arrangement aboard. The joins, clearances and access matter as much as the fabric direction.
Number every piece and show it in position. Identify fixed seating, locker access, removal responsibilities and your preferred refit window.
DETAILS THAT CHANGE THE WORK
A simple loose rectangle and a curved, tapered corner need different patterning and sewing. Photographs should show the border depth, corners, attachments and underside, not only the attractive face.
Let Josh know what lifts out and what is attached. Access, removal, retained fittings and installation responsibilities should be agreed with your captain, yard or project team where relevant.
Share the collection and return locations. We can discuss supplied pattern material, UK courier collection and individually planned EU logistics. Travel, transport and fitting form part of the agreed scope; same-day collection does not mean same-day manufacture.
Confirm physical samples, exact material references, foam, piping and seam details before work begins. If the assessment uncovers additional work, agree the change before proceeding.
