Photograph the complete dining arrangement and a side view of the chair. Include the underside of the table and any arms or rails that affect clearance, so the cushion depth is discussed in context.
02Consider seat depth and back position+
A thicker back pad can reduce usable seat depth. Explain what feels uncomfortable about the present arrangement and whether the new set should change support, fullness or the sitting position.
03Keep attachments practical+

Can you make new backs as well as seat pads?
